Our six week, therapist-led anxiety management course gives information, tips, tools, and strategies to manage anxiety. The course is based…
Anxiety UK is a national charity, helping to support people living with anxiety, stress and anxiety-based depression.
We are a self-sufficient organisation that receives no grants or funding from any public body and rely wholly on the support and generosity of our members, supporters, and fundraisers.
In 1970, the charity’s founders, Katharine and Harold Fisher established The Phobics’ Society from their home in Chorlton, Manchester, as a direct result of Katharine’s personal experience of agoraphobia and with the sole aim of getting support in place for others living with anxiety..
Since then we’ve become a national organisation, however we still have the same basic aims. Whether you have anxiety, stress, anxiety-based depression or a phobia that’s affecting your daily life, we’re here to help and are here for you.
We offer an extensive range of support services designed to help control anxiety rather than letting it control you.
Services available for both members and non-members include:
Joining Anxiety UK as a member brings you a wealth of benefits and the opportunity to be part of our community of support.
Whether you join as an individual, student or family member or even as a group or corporate member, we’re here to help you.
At Anxiety UK we believe in choice; offering a wide range of therapy options including Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnotherapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Available across the whole of the UK, delivered by more than 430 Anxiety UK Approved Therapists online, by phone and face to face.
Flexible, online peer support groups, therapist-led anxiety management courses and Art for Anxiety Relief (AfAR). Providing members and non-members with access to weekly support from the comfort of their home.
Anxiety UK strives to improve the quality of life for anyone affected by anxiety, stress or anxiety-based depression by providing a range of services. We rely on the generosity of our supporters and members to continue this valuable work.
